I hope you like this gold pink makeup look. This is pretty much my go to makeup look for the weekends when I want to make a little bit more effort!
A good base is so essential to making your makeup stay on all day and its good to use a good moisturizer and primer to provide a smooth base for your foundation. I used the Caudalie Moisturising Sorbet (it looks different as I have a travel size) and the Miss Sporty Insta Glow Primer I love this primer it’s such good value for money and its very brightening as the name suggests it gives you a glow! After I’ve moisturizer and primed my skin a spray some of the Caudalie Beauty Elixir.
I used the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation mixed with the NYX HD Foundation to get my perfect shade. These are such lovely foundations I have repurchased Nars Sheer Glow so many times its one of my holy grails. The NYX foundation is a lovely your skin but better foundation and the Nars is medium/full coverage but both still very dewy.
LA Girl HD Pro Conceal This is such a lovely concealer, blends very easily and comes in soooo many different shades.
I set my foundation and concealer with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder which I have spoken about in nearly all of my makeup posts so far so I won’t bore you!
Next I bronzed/contoured my face with the Nars Laguna Bronzer I got this compact around last christmas and I loved that it came with a mini ‘Nars Ita’ brush (I have linked the compact with the brush but you can buy it without) I find this brush is perfect to contour my cheek bones and nose. Lovely bronzing powder with the tiniest hint of shimmer.
I used a coral toned blush with some golden shimmer which is the Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush – 82 Reflex which is one of my favourites. I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in Riviera which is a gorgeous highlighter but I find it’s a little too pink for a highlight on the cheek bones so I like to use it over my blush to make it glow.
Of course I used the Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop which is the most pigmented highlighter I own you need the tiniest bit on your brush to have a strong highlight, I used this on my cheek bones and down the nose.
I used 5 eyeshadow’s for this look I used Mac All That Glitters all over the lid, Mac Woodwinked in the outer corner/crease and under the lower lash line, and then Mac Mythology packed onto the centre of the lid and along the inner lower lash line. Onto Matte eyeshadow’s I used Makeup Geek Beaches and Cream in the crease and I took this quite far up. Next I used a shade from the Morphe 350 matte palette which is actually sold out at the moment! (sorry) I used the top right 2nd to last shade I got this palette on Beauty Bay and they do re stock often!
After I had finished my eyeshadow I went onto liner, I used the Rosie for Autograph Liquid Liner I am not very fussy with eyeliner I just like them to be black and a felt tip shape. I did a thin cat eye flick which is my personal favorite!
I then used a nude pencil eyeliner in the waterline to open up my eyes. I used one from Kiko which sadly is limited edition but any nude liner will do.
Lastly for the eyes was mascara I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara which is a really good high street mascara.
I love Rimmel lip liners I am going to do a full post just on the Rimmel lip liners as I have so many! I used Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Eastend Snob 63 it’s a medium pink shade and its very creamy and easy to use. I filled in my lips with this liner then applied the Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Sugar which is a proper light nude shade, I find I can only wear this with a lip gloss or something over the top, with this look I used the Dior Lip Maximizer which is a lip plumping lip gloss which I love! I’m not sure how much ‘plumping’ it actually does to the lips but it does make them tingle for a while, but overall it’s very long-lasting and a lovely clear/baby pink shade.
I hope you like this pretty golden pink makeup look!
With Love Helena xx
