I love getting ready for a night/evening out and doing my makeup. I try to make sure I have enough time to sit and do my makeup without rushing. If you can wear gold glitter one day of the year its gonna be New Years right?

When starting off with your base it’s important to use a moisturizer to ensure the foundation sits nicely on the skin, I just used a Soap and Glory one which I got for Christmas so I haven’t been using it for too long but I do really like it for under makeup so far.

I used the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. I have a post already up all about which I will link. It’s a nice full coverage foundation.

I then used the collection lasting perfect concealer which I also have a post on as it is my favorite concealer I used the shade cool medium as I have a little bit of fake tan on. I used this on my chin, the sides of my nose, the bridge of my nose and under my eyes.

I then set my base with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder.

Time for bronzer! I used the Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer all over my cheekbones, temples and jaw line. I then used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit  and took the middle contour shade on my cheek bones and down the sides of the nose to shape/contour my face.

Next I highlighted with the Physician’s Formula Nude Wear Highlighter very lightly on the tops of my cheek bones and the bridge of my nose. I also used the pink shade on its own as blusher.

Doing my eye makeup is probably my favorite part of doing my makeup for a night out.

I used the Charlotte Tilbury Cream Eyeshadow in Bette as my base, I then applied Makeup Geek’s foiled eyeshadow in Starry Eyed.

Next I used the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy I used this under the bottom lash line and all over my lid on top of the eyeshadow, I just dotted it all over the lid, making sure not to drag it along as it is a liquid liner I did not want to ruin any of the eyeshadow that was already done.

I then added some black to the outer corners to smoke it out. I used the shade ‘Blackout’ from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, I also used the shade ‘Tease’ as my transition shade in the crease.

I then lined my top lash line and did a wing. I used the Loreal Superliner Perfect Slim for this.

Time for lashes! I have been using individual eyelashes a lot recently and really loving it. I used the Eylure Individual Lashes with Duo Lash Glue.

I also used some of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara on the top lashes to blend the individuals in and also on the bottom lashes.

I used Mac Honey Love Lipstick which is my favourite nude lipstick from Mac with a light layer of the Dior Lip Maximizer on top.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

With Love Helena xxx

  1. That is a makeup job well done! It looks phenomenal. The good ol naked palettes work wonders! How does the individual lashes work? You just put them wherever you need volume/lengthening? Are they reusable?

    1. Thank you! Omg I know I always go back to my naked palettes. Yeah you just place them wherever you feel them are needed! You can re use them if you are careful like any lashes but I never tend to as I normally add mascara on top xx
