Call me an old lady but I’ve been a National Trust Member for 2 years now and I love it. National Trust have such lovely decorations and events on all year round but Christmas is something special. Although the weather isn’t the warmest right now to say the least, there is something about walks in the winter that I really like, the cold air is so refreshing. I’ve always loved winter so I like to make the most of it especially the festive season (which in my books starts the second Halloween ends ;). The National Trust have loads of grounds, houses and even castles all over the country so its worth looking up where they are near you, or making a little day out of it and go on a road trip somewhere new. These photos were taken in Polsden Lacey, which is a beautiful place to visit the house and grounds are so nice, the last time I went to Polsden was in the summer which is a perfect time to visit as they have places to sit and the gardens to wander around. But seeing as its December now it wasn’t exactly warm enough to sit down outside so we had a walk around with a hot chocolate and then went into the house to see all the gorgeous Christmas decorations.
