If there is any time of the year you can wear glitter at any point in the day… its December! This is a nice look for Christmas day and the party season. I always go a bit OTT on Christmas day but its a day no one can say anything.
Recently I’ve been doing my brows first and then my eyes and I find it works so much better.
Brows – Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe – This is such a easy natural brow product which I have been using for ages now! I have gone through about 3 of them. It is so easy to make little hair strokes with this and shape the brows perfectly. Once I had filled my brows in I lined them using the Nars Creamy Concealer in Custard. I must admit I find brows the hardest part of my makeup in terms of getting them how I want, I really want the proper makeup artist faded eyebrow but I just cant seem to do it on myself.
Eyes – I primed my eyes using the Nars Creamy Concealer in Custard, I then packed the shade ‘Half Baked’ from the Urban Decay Naked Palette all over my lids and under the eye. I used the matte shade ‘Buck’ in the crease. I then used the Mac Whisper of Gilt highlighter on top of the shadow to make it even more shimmery, I also placed this under the brow and in the inner corners of the eye. The last of the 3 gold shadows I used was the gold shade from the Charlotte Tilbury palette which I have a blog post on. Next I lined my eyes with the L’Oréal Super Liner and the Gigi Hadid Liquid Liner for the flick. I put a little bit of the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Midnight Cow Boy under the lower lash line and inner corner of my eyes. I then curled my lashes and added a thin layer of mascara so my false lashes had something to blend with. I used the DUO lash glue and the Huda Beauty Samantha Lashes.
Base – Foundation – Urban Decay All Nighter – This is a full coverage foundation which as the name suggests is very long lasting (Which you will need for Christmas day). This foundation is on sale in John Lewis at the moment for £23.20. If you like a more dewy foundation this may not be for you as it is matte. I then used the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – down my nose, chin, under eyes and forehead. I powdered my face with a powder I got from & Other Stories which I am pretty sure is this one (Packaging change). To bronze up my face I used the I Heart Bronzer, I love using baked bronzers they give such a warm glowy look to the skin. I also used the contour shade from the Tarte Ladies Night palette followed by the highlighter and blush shade.
Lips – For my lips I used a mix of Mac – Russian Red and Mac – So Good For you.
I hope you liked this look.
