As much as I dislike January because Christmas is over 😦 I do like fresh new starts and in 2018 the 1st of January was a Monday, I can’t think of a better day for a fresh start. So in 2018 I do want to make a few changes to make my life as happy as it can be. I saw a quote that said ‘I will make everything around me beautiful and that will be my life’ and that was my inspo for this.
1- If you’re not on the right path – get off it as simple as that! I didn’t realise how simple it was until I knew what wasn’t making me happy in my life. Or if you can’t seem to get off the path your on just yet make a plan to achieve this but also remember you do not need to worry about the future all the time enjoy the present, as long as your content its okay.
2- Look after yourself mentally and physically – ‘you cant pour from an empty cup take care of yourself first’.
3- Learn to say no to things you don’t want to do. You don’t have to go and do anything you do not want to – ‘If it costs your peace it’s too expensive’.
4- Always make time for the things that make you happy. You should never be too busy to do the things you love the most. We only have one life and it should be spent the way we want. You don’t always have to be doing what everyone else is. Remember that.
5- Get away from the people with bad vibes, you do not owe anyone any explanation if they bring bad energy that is not needed in your life… CYA you are entirely up to you no one else.
6- Appreciate what you have – there is not a day I don’t feel grateful for the people and life I have.
7– Try not to live your life behind a screen. This is actually one of my New Years Resolutions I tend to get a bit obsessed with checking my phone and feeling the need to photograph and documents everything I do which is good to a certain extend but I definitely need to put my phone away more.
8- Expand your comfort zone. ‘Live your life driven by curiosity not fear’ everyone’s comfort zones are different but the best things happen outside of it.
9- Have things to look forward to. I think this is key to happiness in my opinion even if it’s just going to your favourite coffee shop next week or traveling to somewhere new having things to look forward to makes all the difference.
10- Last but not least RELAX. Trust your journey and take every day as it comes. Bad days are going to happen regardless of these 10 steps but remember no rain no flowers.
